Please fix the snooze. I still use this app every day even without snooze. Also please fix progressive sound volume increase. That was my favorite feature.

The interface was so slick as to be complete opaque. I couldnt figure it out. I want my $3 back. But it was pretty enough, so 2 stars.

Simple and easy to use. The gradual increase in volume though doesn’t seem to work or is just poorly made. Other apps have an increase in volume by time, much more useful

I had been on the Android platform for the last 10+ years. After switching back to ios a few days ago, I quickly realized I needed more functionality than the stock Clock app could deliver. I had to wade through the usual laundry list of sub par apps with reviews that had played the app store system. This app had some honest reviews. One issue I had was accessing the settings in the app. I emailed the dev and he responded within an hour. I was not using the correct swipe to access settings. Problem resolved. In general, if you have trouble with any alarm clock app, if you contact the dev before slamming the app you may have better luck. Ios has programmatic limitations that make it impossible for any alarm app to work in some configurations. It may not be the dev's fault at all. RTFM.

So I’ve used the app for years. A couple of years ago I had to go without an iPhone for awhile but as soon as I got a new one I downloaded my good old trusty rise app for my alarm. At first it kept crashing so I gave up and abandoned it. Then I figured a few months later I would give it a second try. I was pleased to see that the crashing bug was fixed but unfortunately the updated app is missing the one thing that makes it stand out on its own…. The progressive alarm. Sure. It’s still an option but now the app can not longer run in the background like it use to. That means that now can you not set the alarm and then go about doing other things on your phone but you can’t even turn your screen off when you go to bed without compromised the progressive tone. This means the app must be open and your screen/phone settings set to “never lock”. This is completely ridiculous since the whole point of the alarm is that is suppose to wake you up, implying that you somehow manage to fall asleep every single night with your phone screen open, unlocked, and bright for you and everyone else to see all night long, wasting battery. The alarm will still go off if you close the app or lock your phone for that matter but you forfeit the progressive tone option by doing so, which again, is the best part of this app and one of the only alarm app with this feature. Kinda ruins the soft building up of chimes to slow rouse your from your dreams. So I guess I’ll just have to give up on this app again and maybe try again in another few months to see if they ever figure out how to get the progressive feature to function in the background like it use to. A real shame bc I really use to adore this app

The developer finally fixed my favorite alarm clock. It’s been crashing on me for a while but now I can start using Rise Alarm Clock again to wake up in the mornings. THANK YOU!!!!

Best alarm app ever. Easy to use and great tunes. It did not work for a few years, because iOS changed and the developer did not upgrade it, but they just did and made me a happy man.

The app won’t open. When I rest my finger on it, a short menu appears where nothing works. Apple refund my money!

Does not open on iPhone 13 pro.

After downloading and paying $1.99 the app does not open on my iPhone.

This app simply does not work anymore. Which is a real shame because it did a great job. It was recently updated by Apple to use the latest signing certificate and it still doesn’t work. If it’s not going to be updated then it should be removed from the App Store.

Where are the updates? Crashes constantly. Waste of money. Another developer who took off with my money. Glad Apple got their 30% though. Why is this still on the App Store?

Against my best judgement and it’s poor rating of 1.7 I blew the buck 99. They were right of course. Will not even open on an 11 Pro Max and 14.2. Take your money to Starbucks instead. At least you’ll get something of value.

App does not even open - it just flashes and closes - on late model iPhone with latest iOS. Sure wish I had read these other reviews before purchase!

In theory, rise is a great app. I used it for a long time. The only features that matter to me in an alarm (which seem surprisingly rare) are being able to play a custom sound (like music from my phone) and an alarm that starts quiet and increases in volume. Rise was great for this until recently I upgraded to the iPhone 12 mini and the rise app will not even open. I’ve done everything from restarting the phone, re-installing the app, etc. but still crashes immediately. I will check back but for now still looking for a new alarm :(

I purchased this app, but it will not even open on my iPhone X. When I try to open it, it just keeps crashing. Such a waste of money. (And, yes, I tried resetting my phone. 😀)

Saw this as recommended in article. Liked look. Purchased gif $1.99. Opened and just goes back to my hone screen. Will not even start. A complete waste even if free; a ripoff when paid gif. STAY FAR AWAY.

Be careful. The app actually not running at all! So they just collecting money for not working app!!

I’m so saddened that this app is so unreliable. It has so much going for it. The interface is awesome. The alarms are amazing. I love everything about this app but for whatever reason the developer is not interested in hearing customer feedback. What they don’t realize is they are sitting on a gold mine here. Just fix the few problems, make it reliable and I would gladly pay money for it as I’m sure a lot of others would.

Literally closes the second I try to open the app. I’m not upset about the $2.17, I’m upset this is still on the App Store

Installed this paid app 8/1/2020. After loading it won’t open from my home screen. Deleted and reinstalled again. No luck.

It crashes upon opening. I would love it if it was updated because it was a good simple alarm clock.

Great alarm. I really love this app, and have never had a problem with it. Something that would make it better would be to have the option to turn off the quotes, or choose to have Bible verse of the day displayed after shutting off an alarm instead of the so-called inspirational quotes.

App doesn’t work simple as that

This was my favorite alarm app for literal years, so when I came here to write this I was shocked to see the rating- but here we go. The main issue is that the new iPhone update broke the app, and the app doesn’t seem to have been updated in years, so who knows if it will ever be fixed. I loved this alarm app it was the only one I’ve ever used. It helps my anxiety in the morning and has the most tolerable morning alarm sounds out of any app. Breaks my heart that I can’t use it anymore

Had to change my review as I have missed flight and meetings due to the app being so flakey these days. Shame as my original review read: Hands down best alarm app. Very user friendly. NO SUPPORT for iOS 13.

Since updating my phone to iOS 13.3, this app will not start. I’ve used it for the last two years with no issue, but since the update I had to find a new app. Contacted the developers if an update was pending but have had no response. This was weeks ago.

With the last iPhone release the app no longer works.

I used this app everyday. Decided to update IOS today and now it doesn’t open. To be fair, I always set a backup alarm for one minute later using the built in alarm, just in case.

I’ve loved this app for many years. It began to get buggy in 2018, and unfortunately now (January 2020) it won’t even open on iOS 13.3. I re-downloaded it hoping for the best but it is still non-functional. I guess instead of making expensive soaps out of medical waste and rules for fight club like the last update from 2018 says, the developers should be working on the functionality of their app... 😔
