Rise Alarm Clock App Reviews

Have used this as my primary alarm app for years, but its stopped being minimalistic. Too many features = too many chances for bugs. Current version wont reliably sound alarm. It plays this text tone instead. Hate to delete, but may have to. Please go back to keeping this simple.

The alarm sometimes goes off. And sometimes it doesnt. But as far as an alarm goes, it needs to work 100% of the time.

Used this app forever but been broken since iOS 10. Its still buggy and crashes when I unlock my phone to turn off the alarm. Would be nice to have options to turn off alarm from 3D Touch like the stock alarm allows.

So whatever they have done to this version and one immediately previous completely broken the app. I set my alarm, it consistently goes off 20 min late. When I adjust, the snooze is sometimes 5 min, sometimes 15 min. And when I look at it it shows the wrong time in comparison to my iPhone time. --------------------------- So I purchased this app because it was able to get my sister out of bed, so I knew it had to work. And its great. I love it. As for some people saying that you need leave the app open, I guess for me I always charge my phone overnight. And I locked my phone and the alarms go off in the morning. Havent tried actually double clicking and turning off the app. Totally would have given 5 stars except that it freezes sometime. My husband had a different alarm clock app which drove him crazy because he couldnt turn it off ( difficult to access / figure out). This one is simple to turn on and off, when it actually responds. The alarm goes off and it sounds beautiful. But when youre trying to silence it for other people, or sleeping kids, its annoying when it doesnt work. Thats really the only downside Ive encountered so far. But for my husband thats enough for him to find a different app.

Less arrogant jokes in the update notes and more fixing the numerous bugs. Had to quit using the app altogether because it was a crapshoot on the alarm going off each morning. If not for the awful attempts at humor, Id be patient but its a huge turnoff when an app as important as an alarm clock simply doesnt work. Going to give it one more shot then its getting deleted. Feel like my app purchase money was stolen

Ever since update app has only worked at times, despite following troubleshooting recommendations. Used to love this app.

Works ok. Looks nice but functionality and user interface is lacking.

Works wonderfully - never a problem, always reliable. Even after an hour of snooze-hitting. PLUS Im entertained with every new update, waiting to find whatever Easter egg the developers feel like planting. Michael Myers indeed...

I loved this alarm but this past week it no longer works. The app wont even open. I hope this is fixed because when it works its a wonderful app. Please fix! Used to be a 5 star app!

**This is my first review of any app** I didnt mind paying for the additional but standard features. However this app at the moment is fundamentally flawed. The alarm simply does not sound although I followed their instructions in the FAQ. What made this app great was the ability to set an alarm without thinking or worrying about it. This was one of the selling points for this particular alarm clock. Progressive alarm is hit or miss too. Devs, please please please fix this. I love this alarm clock. It was super reliable and very elegant. At the moment, it just DOENT WORK for me. Its not just a bug, the app is broken. Please fix it. I was also almost late for my new job because of this update..

Recent updates have broken this once nearly perfect app to the point where Ive deleted it and am looking for a replacement. Sometimes an app shouldnt be updated. UPDATE: I gave it one more chance and the latest update fixed nothing for me. The app is unusable. Deleting again, and permanently this time.

A few hiccups on switch to iOS10, but still my daily alarm clock. Ive been using Rise for years now, and despite trying out many other options featured and recommended, I always come back. I cannot recommend Rise enough.

I loved this app and used it every day before the update, which, as far as I can tell, rendered it practically unusable. The smooth intuitive functions became blocky and awkward and large chunks of its functionality now seem broken. UPDATE: after several "fixes" this app is broken even worse. The snooze function now, by default, advances to the next day. Forget about using this app if you cant afford to, literally, be a day late.

This app is so broken! I just uninstalled it today after being a user for the last few years. The switch to Swift totally broke an app that did work well. This morning, after the most recent update, I set my snooze to 10 minutes, snoozed, and the alarm went off 40 minutes later. NOT GOOD!! I was late for work. An alarm app needs to do ONE thing and ONE thing well. Wake someone up. This one doesnt. Because of that, Ill find a new one. I wish I could get a refund, but sadly, things dont work this way. My only hope is that this negative review stops someone else from buying this app or anything related to it.

Ive been using this app for years and they cant seem to pull it together for 10. Save your money and save yourself the trouble of being late cuz the app doesnt work anymore. Disappointing.

This used to be the best, classiest alarm app (I used it every night for 3.5 years) -- but recent updates in the last couple months have rendered it useless. It doesnt work properly anymore and isnt dependable. Very confused and disappointed.

After updating, the app doesnt even open up, it immediately crashes every time

Ive used this app for years on my 1st gen iPad mini and I love it! But the most recent update has completely broke it for me :( The alarm keeps going off and I cant turn it off because all the app does is crash every single time I try to open it... I even tried re-downloading it and that didnt help either... Plz release a bug fix so that I can have my alarm clock back! Update: I re-downloaded the app after the most recent update and its still completely broken for me :( So I had to delete it again. Plz fix.

I have loved this alarm app for years. Now I cannot trust it.
